Antibodies

  • Gallery: Think Tank Gallery
  • Exhibition Type: Solo Show
  • Year: 2019
  • Role: Artist

Antibodies is an immersive sculptural exhibition that reclaims traditional forms and challenges the architecture of social conformity. Presented as a solo show at Think Tank Gallery, the collection draws from the body’s immune response, using antibodies as a metaphor for how marginalized identities resist erasure.

Each sculpture acts as a protective gesture, engaging themes of rejection, adaptation, and survival. Composed of industrial materials like neon, steel, and acrylic, the works embody both physical and emotional resilience. Materials often perceived as rigid are reshaped into fluid, expressive forms that reject permanence and conformity.

By recontextualizing the status quo, the exhibition transforms inherited symbols into tools of resistance. Antibodies becomes a spatial immune response, a defense mechanism activated through form, light, and movement to protect those pushed to the margins

I AM THE ANTIBODY

Medium: Orange neon, standoffs, transformer

Standing seven feet tall, the phrase “I AM THE ANTIBODY” pulses in bold orange neon, flooding the space with a protective glow. The piece serves as both declaration and defense.
